Well it is the end of summer.  We closed the pool today and I can see the hint of changing leaves!!  Fall is so beautiful but I have a hard time enjoying it knowing that winter is fast approaching and the fun of driving in it isn't far away.  Maybe because I am in the snowbelt of NE Ohio.

I was looking at A Primitive Place's forum and stumbled upon posts about Fresh Bittersweet.  I think I need to take a walk along the side of our fields to see if I can find any.  There is also a great article on a blog called "Behind My Red Door" she even has some great photos to help identify and locate bittersweet in its natural state and decorating with it.

Have a great week!

Where did Summer go?

They said the weather was going to change!  Oh my, were they right!  Swimming and 94 degrees on Saturday and Labor Day Monday, I think it is 65 degrees, cloudy with lake effect clouds and wind.  I know fall is a beautiful time of year but it is the lead in to winter!

Pretty soon the leaves will be changes, pumpkins being picked.  I love the fall colors and festivals!

Hi!!!

Welcome to Barn Country!!  A place to enjoy the simple things in life!  I have always had an appreciation for old barns, covered bridges and anything antique and primitive.  To me those things are eye candy.  The picture is my Mom-inlaw's barn next door to us in Northeast Ohio.
